ABSTRAC
Professionals who works in high level education institution which is in change in structural level has dual role. As a lecturer they should be oriented on their professional orientation and as a manager they should base on efficiency and organizations goal achievment which is called goal system orientation.
This study examined the influence of budget participation as moderating variables on the relationship to professional orientation and role conflict. The population of this study is Deputy Dean II in higher education institutions in Indonesia. The result of this study showed that budgetary participation has positive effect as moderating variable to the relationship to professional orientation and role conflict.
Other result is shown in the study is the relationship between professional orientation and role conflict, that study failed to find any effect on the relationship between professional orientation and role conflict
